$9800 obo. 1960 Convertible Beetle for sale. This is an excellent example of an early convertible to either drive or restore. It was driven daily for about one year so all mechanical and electrical components are in great working condition. Brakes were completely gone through about 1.5 years ago including master cylinder, wheels cylinders, rear brake drums, hoses, and shoes. The engine is a 1600cc dual port with 12V alternator that runs strong.
The Beetle is rolling on Flat Four BRM’s with an adjustable beam and KYB shocks front and rear. The car is very smooth on the highway and tracks well with the steering wheel centered.
